The Fit Guide Sets New Standard for Fitness Excellence in Dubai

Championing Fitness Excellence in the Middle East: The Fit Guide Launches in Dubai

The Fit Guide (TFG), an international rating system for the fitness industry, has recently launched in Dubai. This launch comes after successful launches in New York, London, Singapore, and Sydney. TFG aims to recognize the world’s leading fitness studios and experiences by establishing a global standard of excellence.

TFG evaluates fitness clubs based on over 250 objective standards that cover every aspect of a premium fitness experience, from the initial phone call to post-class sales and service. Each club is awarded TFG star ratings for each category as well as an overall rating and is ranked based on their scores. The evaluation process is conducted anonymously by highly-trained “experience evaluators” to ensure unbiased and independent results.

Out of the fifty clubs initially selected for inclusion in Dubai, only three have achieved the highest accolade, The Fit Guide 5-Star Award. These clubs include Chalk Training Ground – The Palm, Storm Cycling – Mirdif, and The Platform Studios – DIFC. Additionally, 21 clubs have earned The Fit Guide 4-Star Award for their excellence. The Fit Guide also highlights other leading clubs in the city that have received special mentions as “Recommended.”

The Fit Guide was founded by fitness industry veteran Jack Thomas and hospitality expert Matt Lavender, who together have over 25 years of experience in their respective industries. Thomas expressed his excitement about the Dubai launch, stating that Dubai is the fitness capital of the Middle East and a hub of innovation in the region. He also mentioned that Dubai performed well in certain areas such as reception services but lagged behind in the digital and technology section, providing an opportunity for industry improvement.

During the Dubai Active launch, other clubs were recognized for their excellence in specific evaluation categories. For example, 1Rebel DIFC received five stars for Facilities and Public Areas, Level Up Pilates was acknowledged for exceptional pre- and post-class service, and CRANK was commended for its commitment to the digital and technology side of the fitness experience.
