Life Fitness, a leader in commercial fitness equipment, is set to introduce a new generation of fitness products at the 2024 International Health, Racquet & Sportsclub Association (IHRSA) Convention & Trade Show. These innovations include a variety of cardio, strength training, and digital products that extend the company’s 55-year legacy of being a mainstay in fitness facilities worldwide. A highlight of their new offerings is the Symbio series, an ultra-premium cardio line that represents a significant leap forward in combining advanced biomechanics with luxurious design and personalized, immersive fitness experiences.
Dan Wille, Life Fitness’s Chief Product Officer, emphasized the extensive research that went into developing the Symbio series. The team focused on how the human body interacts with the equipment, examining aspects like force impact, muscle engagement, and ergonomics to create a seamless union between user and machine. The Symbio line includes innovative features such as the Adaptive Flex Deck® technology in the treadmill, which allows users to adjust the firmness of the running surface to simulate real-world terrains and reduce injury risk. The incline elliptical and SwitchCycle introduce unique functionalities designed to match the body’s natural movements, offering a highly customizable and comfortable workout experience.
Jim Pisani, CEO of Life Fitness, noted that cardio exercises are a fundamental component of fitness routines, and the introduction of Symbio aims to rejuvenate this segment with versatility, personalization, and immersive experiences that meet the demands of today’s exercisers.
The IHRSA 2024 event will also showcase new products from Life Fitness’s strength training portfolio, including updated benches, Insignia machines, and Hammer Strength plate-loaded units. Special mention goes to the Dual Adjustable Pulley with Progressive Stabilization and the Assisted Nordic Ham, both designed to enhance workout variety and effectiveness while accommodating users of different sizes and skill levels.
Life Fitness is further expanding its offerings with the launch of Life Fitness Digital Solutions, an evolution of software platforms aimed at connecting equipment to provide personalized workouts for users and increase profitability for fitness facility operators. The suite includes the Life Fitness Connect System, with applications and tools for exercisers and trainers, as well as Facility Connect, a platform for equipment management and facility optimization.
Attendees of the IHRSA 2024, taking place in Los Angeles, will have the opportunity to experience the Symbio series firsthand, as well as other Life Fitness and Hammer Strength products, at Booth 1700 on March 7-8. The event will also feature informational and educational sessions with fitness experts Derek Hansen, Don Saladino, and Leigh Wierichs, discussing the latest trends and innovations in cardio fitness.
