Planet Fitness Fall Fundraiser to Benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of America

Planet Fitness, one of the leading fitness center franchises, recently announced its annual fall fundraiser in support of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA). The fundraiser will take place from October 1 to October 31, and members can make donations at Planet Fitness clubs in the United States and Puerto Rico, or through the website PFGives.com. All funds raised will directly support youth-focused programming and academic scholarships for Boys & Girls Club kids.

The fall fundraiser is part of Planet Fitness’ philanthropic initiative, the Judgement Free Generation®, which aims to prevent bullying and promote kindness among the next generation. Bullying is a prevalent issue, with 28% of students in grades 6-12 experiencing it each year. Studies have shown that giving back to those in need can have positive effects on mental and physical wellbeing.

In addition to donations, Planet Fitness is offering a ‘Be Kind’ t-shirt for purchase on Shop.PlanetFitness.com. 100% of the sale profits from the t-shirt will also benefit the BGCA. Since 2016, Planet Fitness has contributed over $8.4 million to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

McCall Gosselin, Senior Vice President of Communications & Social Impact at Planet Fitness, expressed the company’s commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all. The fundraiser has helped fund various trainings, resources, and fitness centers in Boys & Girls Clubs. Chad Hartman, National Vice President of Corporate Partnerships and Engagement at the BGCA, highlighted the importance of Planet Fitness’ continued support in addressing social, emotional, and mental health issues in communities.
